Privacy Policy — Clear Focus

The short version

Clear Focus is a daily planner app. We collect the minimum we need to run it: your account email, the planner content you create, and basic technical data from the services that power the app. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers.

1. What we collect

Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address. Sign-in is handled by Firebase Authentication (Google) — your password is stored as a secure hash by Firebase, and we never see or store it ourselves.

Your planner data. Everything you create in the app — tasks, Clear Mind lists, parking-lot items, and planning state — is stored in our database (Supabase) so it syncs across your devices.

AI features. When you use features like task breakdown or planning help, the text of your tasks is sent to Google's Gemini API to generate the response. Your content is processed to provide the feature, not used to train public models on your behalf.

Beta waitlist. If you join the waitlist on our signup page, we collect your email address to contact you about beta access.

Technical data. Our service providers automatically collect standard technical information (such as device type and app version) needed to operate and secure the service. The web app may use browser storage or cookies to keep you signed in and remember your preferences.

2. How we use your information

To communicate with you about the beta, updates, and support
To keep the service secure and fix bugs

3. Who processes your data

We use a small number of service providers to run Clear Focus:

Firebase (Google) — authentication and hosting
Supabase — database storage for your planner data
Google Gemini API — AI processing for planning features you invoke

These providers process your data only to provide their services to us. We do not sell your personal information to anyone.

Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required by law, such as in response to a court order, subpoena, or other legal process.

4. Beta notice

Clear Focus is currently in beta. Features may change, and in rare cases beta data may need to be reset as we improve the service. We will warn you whenever possible.

5. Your choices and rights

Delete your data: email victorjones51@gmail.com and we will delete your account and associated planner data.
Export your data: email us, and we will provide a copy of your planner data.
Waitlist: you can ask to be removed from the waitlist at any time.

6. Data retention

We keep your account and planner data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete the associated data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain records by law.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and access controls on our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take protection of your data seriously.

8. Children's privacy

Clear Focus is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you by email or through the app before the changes take effect.
